No, I don't have the $1500 CAD for the system, just rode on the demo system at the bike store. I was really impressed with the video that you could 'ride' in. It was realistic and felt as if you were actually in Italy or France.

Ok, great. But I want a complete system. And in a gaming console that delivers brilliant 3D graphics.

Tacx Fortius trainer looks cool.

There is a system out there where you can ride different stages of the Tour de France. It is a Tacx Fortius trainer. It's completely 3d and is true to the route on the Tour.

And the Tour de France does have their GPS data available. You just have to know where to look.

Thanks, Nate. This has happened before to. The reason is that I'm Norwegian and even if I have read the books in English, I read them in Norwegian for the kids. =) I have fixed it in the text now.

So "Hogwart" is "Galtvort" in Norwegian.

I just thought I'd correct your Harry Potter terminology. You mentioned the castle and grounds of "Hogwarts" a few times... just want to make sure you get the correct spelling.

[...] As an update to the More “Africa” in your computer and the Running and training online post: Today “foot pedal interface” was the subject of this thread on the 43folders Google Group. I’ve been noticing lately that I could really use an easier way to trigger certain things on my computer. I’m thinking perhaps some sort of foot pedal is the way to go. “Right-arrowing into” items in Quicksilver comes to mind. I’d love to be able to use a foot switch to navigate folders, etc. in QS. I’m sure more ues would become quickly apparent. [...]

[...] A year ago, I wrote “Running and training online”: I’m always frustrated with the lack of open standards in the computer world. So to keep up competition, we make a standard for the data that the training machines collect when we train. I call it EMIL - Exercise Machine Interchange Language.
