I’m Oyvind Solstad (or Øyvind, but most alphabets don’t have an Ø on their keyboard).

I live in Oslo, Norway and work in a major media company. This is my personal site, and the opinions expressed here are mine and do not necessarily reflect the views of anyone else. Although they really should!

I write about…

I write about things that interest me, with a focus on the more technical side of my personality. So even if I ski, play basketball and spend a lot of time with my family, you won’t find much of that here.

I use Macs a lot, and people would classify me as a “superuser”. I also spend several hours a week on Win XP, so I feel entitled to have an opinion on both XP and OS X. At the time of writing, I had 108 posts in the category Mac and 16 in the Windows category.

Why Brilliantdays?

This is (a small part of) the lyrics of a song I can listen to a million times:
