Final Cut pro feature wish #1

One of my top wishes for Final Cut Pro 5, is a check box somewhere at the import files dialog box. This checkbox would say “Move to Capture scrath before importing”. With it checked, Final Cut would move the file you are about to import, from wherever it is located, to the current Capture scratch folder of your project.

So the next time I want to import a file from a server somewhere, i don’t have to…

  1. Switch to Finder
  2. Locate the file on the server
  3. Locate my projects Capture scratch folder in another window
  4. Copy the file from the server to Capture scratch
  5. Switch to Final Cut
  6. Choose import file
  7. Locate file and press OK
