Back…!

The previous post on brilliantdays was posted 24th August 2007. That’s two years ago tomorrow! What happened? What took two years? First of all I made a personal website – oyvindsolstad.com – and moved my personal stuff over there. Second Twitter came and I put most of my link tips and discussion with people on [...]

WordPress theme resetting by itself – solution

I’ve had this problem with my theme: It kept resetting back to the standard WordPress theme. I think I’ve figured it out. Or rather: Scott Burkett figured it out: Then I realized that I had recently installed the WP-mobile plugin written by Alex King (although I hadn’t yet had the chance to test it out [...]

WordPress switching back to default theme by itself

Regular readers may have noticed the new look introduced last week. And if you’re very regular, you may have noticed that the theme keep switching back to the WordPress default theme by itself?? Twice the last 24 hours it has changed back to the default theme. Very strange. So if brilliantdays.com looks like it just [...]

10 sources of brilliantdays traffic – Thanks!

Darren Rowse says “…thanking some of the sites that have sent me traffic in the last 6 months.” Great idea. I picking up on this one. Redesigned – again

I got tired of the old look, and installed the Fauna WordPress theme. I also have created a logo, and a new header. The logo is supposed to combine two things: A stylized sun – something you need on a brilliant day (and here’s why the site is called brilliantdays.com), and a stylized Ø – [...]

Technorati messing things up

My blog is not indexed by Technorati at the moment, and they don’t answer support e-mails. That is NOT good. I really dislike companies that don’t answer when people contact them. After brilliantdays.com hasn’t been updated on Technorati for several weeks, I deleted it and tried to put it back in again. Nah. No, I [...]

Digged

The Amazing circles tutorial was Digged last night. 221 diggs and several thousand hits. For some reason, one of the files controlling the site got messed up, and my site went offline for several hours. It’s back up now, and everything should be working.

A mess

Brilliantdays.com is a mess today. I finally took the plunge, deleted all the movabletype stuff I have used almost a year to put up. And installed WordPress. I’ve had a few problems, but it will be ok as soon as I manage to put the little bits back again. All the posts should be there, [...]
