Duran Duran vs Star Wars
This week I have seen british pop band Duran Duran in concert, and the latest episode of the Star Wars movies, chapter 3 “Revenge of the Sith”. And it struck me that there are so many similarities between Duran Duran and the Star Wars movies, that I just had to write about them. So here [...]
The Safari RSS experiment over for now
When Safari came with RSS built-in, I gave Shrook a break. I have several hundred feeds I track, and even though I like many of the clever features in Shrook, I just couldn’t stand the veeeery slow launch time, and quite a few freezes. Having the RSS feeds in Safari was nice. I could see [...]

Norwegian Minister of justice, Odd Einar Dørum, wants to improve laws to protect individuals privacy. Some background first: In Norway, wine and spirits are only sold through staterun shops called “Vinmonopolet” (or “Polet” – as most people say). Watch comics in a widget
If you use Mac OSX 10.4, you can read your comics in this widget. Garfield, Foxtrot, Dilbert and Calvin & Hobbes are set up already. I tried to add my favourite Pondus, but just got a crap message that I should read it on the webpage. Too bad. —– Sponsors: How to be funny even [...]
Some great ads for the weekend
I have seen some great ads this week. The first one is for Rexona. They sure must have had lots of making this one! Directed by Ivan Zacharis. Next is an ad for T-mobile. If only everbody talking and walking were this clever. I see people walking around talking in their mobiles every day, completely [...]
Man on the moon
I’m sitting on the lawn, the summer is finally here, it’s 22:36 in the evening, the sun just disappeared below the horizon, it’s 18 degrees Celsius (that’s 33,8 F), and Michael Stipe is singing “If you believed they put a man on the moon, man on the moon” somewhere below me. R.E.M. is playing here [...]

Stand up, be productive
“By mimicking the sympathetic reactions to a threatening environment (sitting up straight, standing, moving quickly, deeper breathing), it appears to be possible to activate the sympathetic system, which then takes over. We are ready to act, or in our case, be productive” Bert Webb’s Open Loops
Previews in Spotlight would be nice!
George has an excellent point: Why isn’t there a better preview function in Spotlight? It works nice with pictures and PDFs, but not in many other documents.
